L'Avenir | Provenance | Chenin Blanc | 2022
Chenin Blanc is a grape that’s about as versatile as they come, and we may be biased (of course we are), but South Africa turns it into wine better than almost anywhere on Earth. This is a delicate and crisp expression of Chenin Blanc with intense fruit and classy complexity of oak spice and minerality that will go down dangerously easy on a hot day. If you’re looking for something for a special occasion with a little more oak and depth try their Single Block Chenin Blanc.
Nose & Palate
Precise and intense fruit aromas of white peach and melon, accented by subtle notes of honey and toasted almonds. On the palate it’s medium-bodied, with delicate fruit, crisp acidity and subtle spice. Complex elegant and layered, with notes of pineapple, white peach, apricot kernels and a touch of raw honey.
Pairing
A remarkably versatile food wine, enjoy it with grilled fish, spicy prawns or even a mild Thai curry.
