L'Avenir | GlenRosé | 2023
L'Avenir | GlenRosé | 2023
South Africa’s first luxury rosé - if you enjoy L’Avenir’s Horizon rosé you’re going to love the GlenRosé. After a trip to Provence, L’Avenir’s winemaker, Dirk Coetzee, was inspired by the French flair and elegance of the premium rosés of the region. He returned to the Cape with a desire to create premium rosé of his own, not with the classic Provençal grapes, but of course with South Africa’s very own Pinotage. For those who raise their eyebrows at this, we promise they’ll raise even higher after you experience the fine balance and delicate freshness of the GlenRosé. These aren’t just any old Pinotage grapes in this rosé, but those from the same Block 2 on the highest point of the farm that supply L’Avenir’s highly acclaimed Single Block Pinotage.
If the sleek bottle wasn’t beautiful enough already, if you look from the base of the bottle up, it’s grooved to make it look like a Protea, South Africa’s national flower - a stunning artistic touch!
Nose & Palate
Elegant notes of pomegranate, ruby grapefruit and crushed raspberries. A crisp and impressive entry of bright fruit and crisp acidity is followed by a smooth textured mid-palate with a long and seductive finish.
Pairing
The elegance of GlenRosé is matched by delicate salmon sashimi or grilled lobster.
