Weather Report | Atlas | 2020
Upcoming independent winemaker Chris Keet Jr., who also serves as viticulturist at Gabrielskloof estate in Bot River, launched his Weather Report label in 2019. The incredible Atlas Cabernet Franc comes from small parcels of cab franc vines all over the Cape Winelands: Elgin, Bot River, Paarl, Wellington, Simondium, Bottelary and Stellenbosch. This list has grown since the maiden vintage of 2019, and will continue to do so. Grapes are picked earlier to retain natural acids and freshness and whole bunch pressed, with long and gentle macerations. Old oak is where the wine spends 12 to 14 months before unfined and unfiltered bottling (with a bit of sulphur dioxide to ensure beautiful aging potential). The resulting wines, in youth, are a textural delight with freshness, spice and pucker. With annual production around 700 cases, we couldn’t be more thrilled to bring this incredible wine to Hong Kong! 13.7% Alcohol.
Nose & Palate
Perfumed and fruity aromas, with hints of peppercorn and licorice. Herbaceous notes bloom over the long finish.
Pairing
Tapenade, spicy grilled sausages, or perhaps a Thanksgiving turkey spread with all the fixings. You can’t go wrong!

About the Winery - WEATHER REPORT
Upcoming independent winemaker Chris Keet Jr., who also serves as viticulturist at Gabrielskloof estate in Bot River, launched his Weather Report label in 2019.
Weather Report is the name Chris give the project because it allows him the freedom to explore all over and make wines from wherever tickles his fancy. He loves the weather and his days (painfully, sometimes) depend so much on it. Weather Report is a nostalgic space for Chris to express himself through farming and winemaking.
The name 'Atlas', given to his only wine (for now!) nods to a collection of places and spaces on a map - lends itself nicely to his modus.
