Hogan | Chenin Blanc | 2022
Hogan | Chenin Blanc | 2022
Chenin Blanc is how winemaker Jocelyn Hogan Wilson initially made a name for herself, and it’ll only take you one sip to realise why. Jocelyn believes each bottle of wine should contain a unique story of its vintage and this is certainly true for her Swartland old-vine Chenin. Gentle whole bunch press with no sulfur or additions, with natural fermentation and malolactic fermentation in 225L and 300L barrels.
Nose & Palate
Beautifully concentrated with textured peach, citrus, a hints of herbs and blossoms. Wonderful complex depth of flavour and fresh acidity before a salty finish. Delicate and restrained.
Pairing
Excellent with Southeast Asian cuisine like a fresh Pad Thai. Also an excellent pairing with rich foods like roast pork belly with apple and sage.

About the Winery
Hogan Wines is a small family business spearheaded by winemaker Jocelyn Hogan Wilson. After years working with various wineries, Jocelyn teamed up with her parents to take part in the winemaking revolution of shifting emphasis back to the farmers and focusing attention on small batches of wine.
Hogan selects grapes from vineyards around the Western Cape with ideal climates and soils for the specific varietals, and naturally produces wines with minimal interference. The result is a bottle of wine that contains a unique story of its vintage and showcases the best South Africa has to offer.
