B Vintners | Liberté Pinotage | 2019
The B Vintners Liberté Pinotage pay homage to Cape of Good Hope as the origin of Pinotage. In the 1920’s, this famous South African varietal grape was born, from the combination of Pinot Noir and Cinsaut (Hermitage) grape strains. Plenty of scented charm, this is a lighter styled, non-traditional look at this classically South African variety. Great to explore the unique variety and compare with the L’Avenir range of Pinotages!
Nose & Palate
Red and black fruits, flowers, herbs, spice and earth, giving layered complexity. The palate follows through with fruit concentration – fine, dense and structured tannin, with wonderfully fresh acidity.
Pairing
Pairs well with aubergine & red lentil curry or spaghetti alla putanesca.
